Review: Vibrating egg Lovense Lush 3 vs. Lush 2
Imagine getting your hands on a remote control to control your partner's pleasure. This is exactly what vibrating eggs are for. Read a review of the most popular egg on the market, the Lush 3, which customer Max and his partner tried out.
In Life, Two Things Are Certain
First, men like to play, regardless of age, especially with things that can be controlled remotely. Let's face it, who hasn't dreamed of a remote control car? Who can resist picking up any remote control? I remember when my son got his first remote control car for Christmas. I couldn't tear myself away until I played with it. It's ingrained in men, we are playful kids no matter what age.
And secondly, it is a fact that women dominate us men, even if many of us don't want to admit it. When a partner pulls her feminine tricks, we do nothing; we're just powerless. And I don't just mean the most essential "weapons" like sex and eroticism. It's enough when a woman throws you sad, and longing looks like a cat in boots from a fairy tale.
But what if you had a remote control that you could use to control your partner remotely? What a ride!
It’s Not a Vibrator, It’s a Remote Control on Women
Although the Lovense Lush is primarily designed as a female vibrator, I can tell you from personal experience that its true potential is only realised when the vibrator is in your partner and the control is entirely in your hands. This is literally every man's dream. Holding a remote control in your hand that in itself can excite a man, but what about when you can control your partner in this way? She'll do anything to make it stop. And then the highlight is controlling your partner in public. That's entertainment on par with the final game of the national team in the World Cup!
A Slightly Different Romantic Dinner
When I came across a video in about 2018 of a couple sitting in a restaurant having dinner, the man playing with a mobile app, and his partner sitting across from him trying to hide her arousal and orgasm, I immediately opened a new tab in my browser and started looking for that miraculous remote control.
After about an hour of studying all the possible reviews on this kind of vibrator, or rather vibrating egg, I decided to try the product from Lovense, the Lush 2. Today I also have the newer version Lovense Lush 3, so I can compare and describe to you the differences between the versions.
The quality of this product is really top-notch, which is common with products from Lovense. I have several products from them, and they are all simply amazing. There is no point in detailing all the technical specifications, you can find those on the internet. I'd rather give you my hands-on experience with this ingenious toy.
When the Lush 2 arrived at my house, I already had a plan in my head to try it out. I told my partner that we were going out for a romantic dinner at a restaurant and that I had a gift for her. No woman can resist a romantic dinner, much less a gift. As we were both getting ready for dinner, it was time to present the gift. She was surprised and a little puzzled as to why I was giving her such a gift before a romantic dinner. When I explained that this gift would also be coming with us, she remained surprised and asked if I was serious. We both like to experiment, so it wasn't so much a question of whether to try Lush, but rather whether she would hear it in the restaurant. So we tried it at home first.
Shape and Wearing Comfort
The shape itself has been thought out perfectly. The vibrator "fits" perfectly and doesn't fall out. The antenna can be easily bent as you need it. At the end of the antenna, there is an on-and-off switch to put the vibrator into operation. When switched on, it vibrates lightly, and you know everything is ready for use. The antenna can be adjusted at will and placed in the panties where it is most comfortable for your partner. The most ideal way is probably to place it according to the instructions, with the end at the front of the underbelly. The antenna in this position transmits vibrations directly to the clitoris. According to the description from my partner, the sensations, even with the egg off and walking, are very pleasant and not restrictive or uncomfortable. Even just going to dinner with the vibrator off was arousing.
Mobile App or Remote Control Partner
The first step was to install the control app, which you can easily download from the Apple Store or Google Play. In a few clicks, you pair it with the activated egg. Anyone can do it, you just need to have Bluetooth enabled on your mobile.
Once the egg was turned on, there was one problem that could have complicated all the fun in public. That was the flashing LED on the end of the vibrator's antenna. You probably don't want your partner if she's wearing a slightly see-through dress, flashing like a Christmas tree in public. Fortunately, the designers at Lovense have thought of everything, and this diode can be easily turned off in the app. That was the first thing I did before leaving the house, and I've never changed it since.
The second thing you can set is what should happen if the vibrator loses connection with the mobile and when the connection is re-established. Should it continue vibrating (but only continuously), or should it stop? Personally, I have this feature set to turn off when disconnected and turn back on when the connection is restored. Why? Sometimes your partner needs to go to the toilet, you leave the vibe on and watch her struggle to walk so that no one notices. Then when she goes around the corner and the connection breaks, she doesn't have to do anything and manually turn the vibrator off with the button. When your partner returns, you watch her and wait for the connection to be restored when Lush starts vibrating again.
In addition to the mobile phone app, it is also possible to download a smartwatch app. I personally tried it with the Apple Watch. It's a slightly more discreet way of controlling it, although not as convenient as on a mobile phone. However, it's amply sufficient for quick, unobtrusive on, off, and start of a preset vibration configuration. However, one downside to this watch app is that it stops responding after a while, and you have to reach for your mobile phone again because you can't stop the vibration, for example. I don't know exactly when this happens, but I believe this bug will be fixed in a future version of the watch app.
Range
What I was most interested in was the range. I read in the manual that the app works up to 13 meters if the partner is standing and up to 6 meters if she is sitting. And here's probably the biggest difference between the Lush 2 and the Lush 3. When we used the Lush 2, the connection through the app dropped out, even at short range. It's associated with obstructions between the cell phone and the vibrator antenna. The thickness and material of the table had a significant effect, and of course, the distance between us. In particular, my partner found that if she covered the vibrator antenna, for example, by putting her leg over it, the connection would almost certainly be broken, and the vibration would cease, depending on the settings. When I took the phone and hid it under the table, everything started working again. But you don't want that. You want to decide what happens, not the other way around! That's why I was very pleased to find that the claim of an improved antenna on the Lush 3 is true. This vibrator works quite reliably regardless of the aforementioned obstacles. Now, your partner can sit and move as much as she wants, and the controls are completely under your control!
Just out of interest, I will mention that the vibrator can also be controlled over the internet at an unlimited distance, but we have never tried that.
Vibration and Sound
As I mentioned before, the first concern was the sound or whirring. The reviews claimed this is the strongest and quietest vibrating egg on the market. After the first test at home, it was clear that even though the vibration can be heard in complete silence, the sound is so faint that you don't have to worry about it outside. No one around you will hear anything, even if they are sitting right next to you. Of course, the partner perceives the vibrations more as they pass through her whole body, which can give the impression that the sound is louder than it actually is. In the description of the Lush 3, you will find information that it is even quieter than the Lush 2. This may be true, but to the human ear, the difference is almost imperceptible.
However, I do have one piece of advice: if you are hesitating between buying the Lush or the Flexer from Lovense, the Flexer is much louder, especially at maximum power. This is due to the fact that the Flexer has one vibration motor inside and one on the surface. The Flexer is definitely not the ideal choice for visiting a quiet restaurant. We haven't tried it out in public yet, but I imagine it wouldn't be a problem in a noisy club or bar with loud music. More details about the Flexer next time, though.
The intensity of the Lush vibrations can be controlled from gentle to very strong. Both the Lush 2 and the Lush 3 have enough power to bring a partner to climax.
Charging and Battery Life
The difference in charging between Lush 2 and Lush 3 is significant. I don't mean the length of charge but rather the way they charge. The Lush 2 had a small hole that the charger jack plugged into, while the Lush 3 has 2 magnetic contacts on the end of the antenna where you attach the charger. This magnetic connection ensures that the Lush 3 is waterproof as claimed by the manufacturer. I can't judge this from my own experience, as we have never tested it in water.
As for battery life, I don't think you need to worry about it. According to the manufacturer, the Lush 3 has an upgraded battery that has a 5-hour runtime and 120 hours of standby time. I can't imagine that would be insufficient for anyone. We have never dealt with a dead battery with the Lush 2 or Lush 3, even when we have been on very long dinners or walks. However, it is worth having the vibrator ready, with a fully charged battery, before you head out of the house. You can easily check the battery status right in the app.
Controls
Let's take a look at the controls and the mobile app itself. As already mentioned, this vibrator can be controlled both by a watch and by a mobile phone, and it can also be controlled partially and manually (on, off, intensity). The watch is an excellent choice if you want to turn the vibrator on or off completely unobtrusively, while the app can be used when you are unobserved.
The controls are very simple. You have a large desktop with a circle at the bottom of the screen. You can move this circle up and down. The higher you move your finger, the more intense the vibrations are, and the lower you go, the weaker they are. The vibrations will stop if you move the circle all the way down. A running line at the top of the screen reacts similarly to a heart rate monitor. When you increase the vibration, the line rises, and when you decrease it, it falls.
You can also set what you want to happen when you lift your finger off the screen. Either the vibration will immediately turn off, and the circle will go back down, or the vibration and position of the circle will remain as they were when you lifted your finger. Another option is a "loop" where you control the vibration, move your finger up and down, and when you stop, the entire sequence will repeat until you place your finger on the screen again. When you touch it again, the saved sequence resets and the recording starts again.
You also have the option to record and save up to ten different sequences, which you can then trigger at any time with a single click. This feature is useful if you and your partner have created a favourite sequence that is guaranteed to bring her to climax. Simply turn it on discreetly and watch as your partner struggles to mask her growing arousal and subsequent orgasm. The real-time control is great, but constantly fiddling with your mobile phone can be inconvenient in some situations, such as in a restaurant. Sequences can be played in fast-forward or slow-motion. It's similar to playing a podcast in an app.
If you don't feel like experimenting and recording your own sequence, you can use the preset ones. Just choose one of the 4 pre-installed options from the manufacturer and start. You also have the option to download additional sequences from the internet or share the ones you create. This option is only available to logged-in users, so if you want to download, you need to register on the Lovense website.
The last option to control the vibration is with music. I don't mean the music that's playing outside, but the music that's playing on your phone. We don't use this option, so I won't say much about it. But I imagine it can be fun if a woman makes herself comfortable at home, puts on her favourite music, and experiences it both by listening and vibrating.
Show Must Go On
But let's go back to our first dinner for three. So after the initial installation, setup and testing, we were on our way. As I have written before, even just wearing the vibrator turned off evoked pleasurable sensations and gently teased my partner. Just the feeling of hiding something from the world added to our arousal.
The vibrator vibrated for the first time when we sat down at the table. My partner was embarrassed, checking to see if there was really no sound and if someone was turning in our direction. Everything was perfectly fine. Lovense had indeed managed to produce a perfectly silent vibrating egg.
When the waiter approached us and asked my partner what she wanted to eat, there was no waiting. With one tap on my watch, I restarted the vibration and watched as my partner struggled to remember what she had chosen. She really was a handful, and the sight of her was worth it.
The next experience was going to the bathroom. The vibrator was off when she got up, but she suspected it wouldn't stay that way. The second time I stepped in, I turned the vibrator back on and watched her react. She twitched gently but then continued her upright and confident gait, her own. Returning, she knew ahead of time that at some point, when the connection was restored, the vibrator would begin to vibrate again. She didn't twitch anymore, but I knew exactly when Lush vibrated.
I continued to enjoy it like this, alternating the vibration on and off and watching her try to mask her arousal.
When we had finished eating and the second bottle of wine was already bringing us into a relaxed atmosphere, I started the pre-installed sequence, leaned back comfortably in the armchair and continued the cheerful conversation with my partner. As the minutes ticked by, I could see her arousal growing and how she was finding it steadily more difficult to defend herself against it. When she understood that this time I wanted to finish the game even and that I wasn't going to turn it off, she braced her knees against mine under the table and let it run free. Within a few dozen seconds, her knees locked even tighter, and I felt an orgasm coursing through her entire body. Her gaze was fixed on my eyes, her breathing was rapid, and she was gripping the wine glass tightly in her hands. When her knees loosened their grip after a moment, I turned off the vibrations and watched as she gradually relaxed, enjoying the fading orgasm. I'll never forget that sight for the rest of my life.
The drive home was endless. We both couldn't wait to slam the door and pick up where we left off.
Final Words
We've repeated these dinners many times since then, and I have to say it's something we both always look forward to, and it's like a little Christmas for us. It definitely takes a bit of courage, but believe me, once you try it, you'll love it. If you're inspired by my story but can't get over your fear, try just going out for a walk somewhere alone with the three of you first and try experimenting. In my opinion, nothing can deepen your relationship more than mutual trust and variety in your sex life. As with all practices where one partner has dominance over the other, two basic rules apply. One is absolute trust between the partners, and the other is the so-called stop word. When your partner utters it, you obey and your control over your wife is immediately ended.
