Review: Svakom Sam Neo Masturbator

At home, we have a wide selection of erotic toys, but most of them are designed for female stimulation. Yes, anything that vibrates can be used for male stimulation with complete confidence. And it can also lead to a climax. However, it's not something that was made primarily for that purpose. And so, when I was offered by the Sexshop51.eu team to try out an erotic device designed purely for men, I happily agreed. I would like to thank them for this opportunity.

The biggest difference between erotic toys for women and men, which is already visible at first sight, is their size. Most toys for women are, shall we say, a reasonable size and can be stored relatively easily in a drawer on a bedside table, for example. Automatic masturbators for men are logically already larger. However, it must be admitted that the tested Svakom Sam Neo is one of the more compact ones. Still, it takes up more space than, for example, a vibrating egg, a classic vibrator or a Womanizer.

Design and Quality

The workmanship is of high quality, both of the device itself and the packaging. No wonder. The American company SVAKOM is no newcomer to the erotic equipment market. It started production back in 2012 and ranks among the world's top 15 manufacturers in this field. Its products have been awarded multiple times for quality and design.

Out of the box, I was most curious to see how realistic the silicone part would feel to the touch. And I must admit I was pleasantly surprised. All of the erotic aids we have so far have a silicone surface that is firmer (vibrator, vibrating eggs, massage wands, …). But in this case, the silicone sleeve, or "vagina" if you prefer, is very soft and pleasant to the touch. The opening felt quite narrow to me, but by the fact that the silicone is very flexible and pliable, it won't be a problem, even if you are naturally over-endowed.

The inside of the stroker has three parts. Just behind the opening and at the very end, there are small protrusions on the inside, as you can see in the picture. The middle, larger part of the interior, is covered with indented rings.

The silicone part of the masturbator, which extends out of the plastic packaging, is protected by a translucent cover. This prevents dust and dirt from sticking to the silicone when the masturbator is put away. Of course, the silicone sleeve can be removed so that it can be rinsed and disinfected after use without water damaging the electronic part of the masturbator.

After removing the silicone insert, you can see the vibrating "thor" inside the plastic part of the masturbator. This thorn vibrates when in use and can be controlled independently of the suction function. What is good to mention at this point are two things. The first is that when you insert the silicone sleeve back into the masturbator, be careful that the moulded part for the thorn is right where the thorn is located. The sleeve is very soft, so it's not a problem to insert it the wrong way. But then the masturbator will not work properly. The second thing is more about preference. It is good to know where the thorn is located. You can then rotate the masturbator so that the vibrations are at the bottom or, on the contrary, at the top of your privates.

There is then only one button on the back, which you hold to turn the masturbator on or off. Once switched on and briefly pressed again, you can switch between five preset modes. Whether the masturbator is on or off is indicated by the illuminated "S" logo in the centre of the control button.

Specifications and Limitations

As for the technical parameters, just very briefly. Charging time is approximately 3 hours, and operating time is 1 hour. Compared to, for example, vibrators, this may seem low. However, it should be remembered that here, in addition to vibration, the device must also control an air pump. And that is energy intensive. But I can tell you in good conscience that one hour is definitely enough because the Svakom Sam Neo will bring you to climax in just a few minutes.

The motor, or air pump, is a bit noisy. It doesn't affect the functioning as you get used to it pretty quickly, or drown it out with a video or music. But keep in mind that if you want to use the masturbator, for example, at night when it is grave silent, you will probably be able to hear it even through a closed door.

Now that we've touched on the engine, it's worth mentioning about the only thing that can be faulted about Svakom Sam Neo. That complaint is the lack of an intake speed setting. This is understandable, as the whole device is very compact. Technically, it is not possible to fit a huge "turbine" into a compact body that can vary the speed of air intake and exhaust, which simulates suction. This drawback does not affect the functionality of the device itself, it just limits some of the possibilities, which I will describe later in the review.

Another thing to mention is water resistance. This masturbator is not waterproof and cannot be used while showering or bathing in the tub. Again, this is based on the technical design where you need to have intake holes through which water would get into the motor.

Well, the last technical parameter you might be interested in is the size of the stroker. By being made of really extremely soft silicone, it is pliable in both length and width. If your penis is even a little oversized for Europe, you'll have no problem using the masturbator.

Controls

You have 3 ways to control Svakom Sam Neo. The first, easiest option is 5 preset sequences. These sequences are started and switched by simply pressing a button. The difference between the sequences is the intensity of the suction and the type of vibration. For a better idea, here is a description of each sequence.

1. short suction, vibration on
2. two short, one long suction, vibration on
3. one short, two long suctions, vibration on
4. two short, two long suctions, vibration off
5. vibration only

The type of vibration varies from program to program.

The other option is to download the SVAKOM app from either the Apple Store or Google Play. The app allows you to change both the intensity of the sucking, the intensity and the kind of vibration. The app is ideal if neither of the preset sequences suits you. Because with the app, you can adjust almost every detail. What the app, or the device itself, can't do is change the suction speed. Another thing the app allows is remote control. You just need your partner or someone else to have the app installed. You create a virtual room in the app and send the other party a code that they use to connect to the room and can control the masturbator remotely. Why a virtual room, you ask? It's basically a combination of control and chatting together. Through the app, you can chat with the other person and send different emoticons to give your partner instant feedback. The app can also respond and sync with music from your phone. The term "sync" brings us to the third control option.

This option intrigued me the most, and I was curious to see what it could do. It's the ability to create what's called virtual reality, where the device syncs with the video being played. To pair Svakom Sam Neo with a video, you'll need to install another app called FeelConnect. This app allows you to control various electronic sex toys from different manufacturers that support linking with the app. Among other things, the app allows you to chat with friends or control the device remotely. However, for controlling the Svakom Sam Neo without syncing with video, the original SVAKOM app is more ideal because it is more intuitive and user-friendly.

Virtual Reality

But let's look at the previously mentioned virtual reality. When paired with FeelConnect, you have multiple options for finding videos that support virtual reality. Right in the app, you'll find free videos to try out, as well as discount vouchers for paid sites with a variety of interactive videos. However, if you don't feel like paying for videos, it is possible to reap probably the most famous video site Pornhub. There, you have to click through the menu under "Categories", select the last item "All Categories" and then find the category called "Interactive". Here you will find 361 videos at the time of writing this review. Under each video in this category you will then find the "Sync interactive toy to video" button. If you are running the video on your computer, a barcode will appear that you scan using the FeelConnect app. If you are opening the page on a mobile phone, a menu will appear above the video where you click "Watch in app". In both cases, the app will connect with the video and control the masturbator in sync with the scenes projected in the video. In addition to syncing, it's then possible to set what phone you're using or connect virtual reality goggles. You're probably all already wondering what the experience is like and if it can be called virtual reality.

What can't be denied is their desire to take sex toys to the next level. The synchronisation actually works and the paired device starts sucking and vibrating only when a scene of fellatio, coitus or masturbation appears in the video. However, the name virtual reality is a bit of a stretch. And for one simple reason. As mentioned earlier, the Svakom Sam Neo and I assume other automatic masturbators, cannot adjust the speed of suction, and if it does, I don't think it's fast enough. The technical limitation I described earlier doesn't allow for synchronizing the suction with the thrusting scenes, which are often dynamic and involve fast movements. Therefore, while watching the video, the masturbator will indeed turn on and off along with the scenes, but forget about keeping the speed of suction and sensations synchronous with the unfolding scene in the video.

Still, it's quite fun, and ultimately, it all serves its purpose. The teasing combined with watching the erotic scenes will do the job and bring you to climax within minutes. One can compare this with manual masturbation, where probably the tempo is also not completely synchronized to the video :).

Can it be compared to the real experience?

I have already described how the whole device works, the technical parameters and possible limitations, and the control options. But what you are probably most interested in is whether the Svakom Sam Neo automatic masturbator can provide a realistic feeling of oral satisfaction.

The manufacturer promises that the sensations are comparable to perfect oral sex. This claim is a bit marketing, in my opinion, however, with the Svakom Sam Neo masturbator you are guaranteed to enjoy it and the sensation is surprisingly exciting. However, there are a few important things to keep in mind.

The most important one, which you won't get very far without, is lube. You can use any water-based lubricant that won't damage the silicone that the stroker is made of. If you don't have one at home, be sure to throw it in with your order along with the masturbator. The masturbator does have one more "flaw" that I didn't mention. Even if you look like Prince Charming from Shrek, it has no effect on the stroker, and it doesn't get wet by itself. And without lube, you're guaranteed not to get into it. You'll need a lot of it for the perfect feeling. Personally, I recommend using a lubricant on the privates and also applying it directly to the masturbator. The sleeve is tight but pliable and will hug your privates tightly. The initial insertion may be stiff; however, very soon, you will get the hang of it, and it will be no problem. On the other hand, you will appreciate just the tightness with which the stroker hugs your penis, as this multiplies the subsequent teasing.

The second thing to keep in mind is the position of the vibrating thorn. As already mentioned, the position determines whether the vibrating thorn will stimulate the bottom or the top of your privates. It depends on what you are more comfortable with. Proper rotation and positioning of the thorn enhances the vibrations, which are quite dampened by the silicone.

When you have all the preparations done, your privates are completely absorbed by the masturbator, you can start experimenting. I recommend starting with the preset sequences. I personally like the third sequence best, which has one short and two long sucks along with the vibrations on. The long suction is really perfect! The masturbator sucks you in very deeply, and the penis is stimulated by the ring notches inside the sleeve on its way into the bowels of the masturbator. At the end, the nerve endings of the glans then meet the protrusions, which tease it intensely. Add to this a gentle vibration, and you will have a combination that is guaranteed to bring you to explosion in minutes. The only thing missing from the ultimate perfection is the aforementioned lack of speed control. The slower pace, on the other hand, has the advantage that the teasing is intense, but the gradual climax is all the more intense.

You must hold the masturbator with your hands when using it, or lay it down so that it can slide freely over your privates. It's up to you what position you choose or invent. Don't be afraid to experiment. But the suction is really strong and you can't get it out even with force when sucking your privates in. If you want to take the penis out when you're done, you need to turn the device off.
